Most US colleges with Early Decision and Early Action programs have three possible outcomes: Admit, Deny, or Defer.
There are a handful of colleges that only admit and defer applicants in the early round (Georgetown), and some that typically admit or deny (Vanderbilt). If you have applied to an Early Decision program, the acceptance means that you are expected to enroll there. You should immediately withdraw your other applications.
