All of the Ivy League universities are elite private schools located in the Northeast. But that doesn’t mean they’re all the same. For example, Cornell is located in rural upstate New York, while Columbia is located in the middle of New York City. UPenn has almost 25,000 students, while Dartmouth has just over 6,000. The schools also have their own unique academic specialties, resources, strengths and weaknesses.
An Ivy League education is great. But there are a lot of other great universities that could be right for you, whether it’s an internationally renowned tech powerhouse like MIT or a small state school like the University of West Georgia where you’ll get lots of one-on-one attention without taking on too much debt.
